Thunderbird Email Set Up
In this article, we will show you how to set-up your custom email username and password for the Thunderbird Web-Mail Application.
Custom Email Set Up For Thunderbird
Step 1: Download Thunderbird Email Application
Or
Step 2: Have your custom email address and password ready
(If you are using CBM hosting, please contact our team to have a copy of your username and current password if you do not already have them)
Step 3: Input your username & email account in Thunderbird
Step 4: Click on Configure Manually
Step 5: Select IMAP or POP3
(If you are using multiple devices select IMAP only)
Step 6: Enter information as listed below for IMAP or POP3 Set up
STEP 7: Click Finish
IMAP SetUp
- Mail.yourwebsitename.com
- Standard Protection (Normal Password)
- Connection Security :SSL/TLS (Do not manually Change Incoming Port numbers It has to change by itself when selecting the connection security type.)
- Ensure Username Is correct with whole email NO SPACES
- Incoming port: 993
- Outgoingport: 465
POP 3 Setup
- Mail.yourwebsitename.com
- Standard Protection (Normal Password)
- Connection Security: SSL/TLS (Do not manually Change Incoming Port numbers It has to change by itself when selecting the connection security type.)
- Ensure Username Is correct with whole email NO SPACES
- Incoming Port :995
- Outgoing Port:465
